This isn't a drabble, no. Consider it more of a hilarious (well... I found it hilarious!) incentive to play one of the many political characters listed here.

It should be said that Shay is awesome of all awesome and makes me lulz!

So, Mark dropped by the office this morning to check on the progress the writers made last week. I've never seen him in such a good mood post-Thanksgiving with his parents. Ever. Weird. And what the heck is up with the southern accent?

Ugh, have to go. Ralphie's ferret is out again.

EDIT: Scratch that. He's stomping around about Libertarians now. Great...

[Blocked from family] [27 Nov 2009|02:38pm]
This was my first Thanksgiving, and I had two of them. One at my father's and one at my dad's. I know I'm young and I haven't experience many things in a mortal way, and it's almost once a day that I'm doing something which is a completely new experience to me. But I've seen a lot and I know how things are supposed to be.

Even though I had two Thanksgivings this year, I don't think either of them were normal. I know from the movies and television shows I've seen that you're not supposed to come out of a family dinner saying, "at least no one died." I also know that you're not supposed to come out of the second one being thankful that your dad and his mortal were able to save you from being date-raped by your uncle.

My family is not normal.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, NEW YORK; Mark Harden, host of The Politics Fix and co-anchor of Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN reveals this week that he has a twenty-one year old son named John Harden. He said his last name was Davis. Now that I think about it, he and Mark really do look alike... An official on air announcement will come Monday, November 30th, 2009. It's asked that until then the press respect the family and their observance of the coming holiday.Yeah right.

Please direct questions to MDJacobs@CNN.com but not until after Thanksgiving because I'm going home to Vermont and I'm leaving my Blackberry in New York and enjoy the extended weekend.

I didn't know they made white snuggies! The Ole Miss administrators have just made themselves more trouble than it was probably worth by banning the band from playing the song. Let them play the song, and if it leads to chanting... so be it. It's Ole Miss, people are probably going to chant 'The South will rise again' anyway. Might as well let them do it without the old men in white snuggies outside the college gates and the national 'liberal media' on your asses. I, for one, don't want to spend my time on 360 on Monday talking about this.

Support? Well... I tried.

Lastly, I can't be in Red States for very long, but tomorrow I'm going down to Arkansas for this free health clinic. Especially if this vote gets stalled up in the senate tonight, well, I feel like I need to witness this for myself. I need to re-energize myself for this fight. It's going to be a long one.

And with that, we're off for the next ten or so days. Only about two weeks of shows and one holiday party left in my work schedule for the year-- sometimes I remember the perks of this job.

I'll risk the punishment of skipping Thanksgiving before I go to Avondale.

So, because he was a guest on the show tonight, does this mean that we're not allowed to work on material about this?

It's funny, Mark, your hard on for the administration notwithstanding.

Obama's doing Asia this week, meaning I get to spend the week tensed, waiting for something to happen like I do every time he leaves the country. He hits China first which marks presidential record of twenty different countries visited while in office, and he's been in office less than a year. It's impressive, but it just means I get to worry more than usual.

Speaking of worrying... Jamie, the trial starting in New York? I'm going to need to see whatever's crossing your desk concerning that. I'm taking a risk and if it's going to blow up in my face --and I mean that in the most literal sense-- then I want to be prepared for it.

This year's gone by quickly. We're back in November again and I'm coming up on Thanksgiving, meaning this week will be the last full week of shows before we're off for a week and a half for the holiday. Then we have two weeks of show in December I think, and I'm off until sometime around the first or second week of January. I want the few weeks of show we have left to be good; going out with a bang is important, so Samarth? Less bongos and more writing, maybe? We can't devote and entire show to Palin, because SNL and Weekend Update will cover it, and since they have access to Tina Fey they'll cover it better than we will. Know your competition.

Healthcare, Obama's Asia trip, Fox News coverage, etc. Everyone's going to be covering Palin. We can be the original ones.

[Family/Thanksgiving invitees only- Minus Columbia and James]
I'm going to guess you all saw mom's message? Is it too early to try and get you all to promise that no one gives or receives any blackeyes this year? I'm all for trying to talk mom out of the annual football game that usually ends with someone bleeding into the kitchen sink.

I hate Thanksgiving. I can't wait for Hanukkah. At leas that I get to celebrate with Glibt alone.

Tuesday's Show: Going Rogue by Sarah Palin is coming out this Tuesday. In celebration I suggest we don't even write for the show. We just send Mark out with the book and Ryan with a bongo and let this shit write itself. Am I right?

...Grams cooks. Grams cooks good. Holy shit, this soup is amazing. I didn't know she knew what a pot was. Dad's pacing a hole though the carpet and Grams probably would be too if she knew a Drug was eating her soup. Fuck that, Grams'd be pissed if she knew they were in the house.

What? It's funny. They're 'visiting', 'cause my brother's still here. If you looked up 'dysfunction' in the dictionary right now my father, brother, Marijuana, and Heroin... you know the rest of the joke.

Heading out to an NOL mosque. The backlash over Fort Hood is some bullshit.
